The Machine

Springs, a carriage, and control.

The reformer is a bed-like frame with a sliding carriage, springs for resistance, straps and a footbar. Lying, sitting or standing on the moving carriage, you work against the springs with slow, deliberate control.

It is precise, supportive and low impact, and it meets you exactly where you are: the same machine can challenge a strong body or hold a tired one.

Who It Suits

Made for real bodies.

No experience needed. Every movement is scaled to your level.

a.

Beginners

You are guided through the machine from the first minute, with movements scaled to your level.

b.

Desk bodies

For shoulders that live near your ears and hips that sit all day, the reformer gives back length and control.

c.

Postnatal recovery

A gentle, progressive way to rebuild deep strength after birth, at your own pace.

d.

Strength without impact

For anyone who wants to get stronger without jumping, pounding or loading sore joints.

Group & Private

Two ways to practise.

Group Classes

Move together

Small group reformer classes with close attention from your teacher. Booking runs on our timetable, and the quickest way to reserve your carriage is a WhatsApp message.

Private Sessions

One to one

A session built entirely around your body and your goals, whether you are brand new, returning after birth, or deepening an existing practice. Arranged on WhatsApp.

The classes

Five reformer classes

All fifty minutes, all on the reformer. Levels are a guide, not a gate, and instructors adjust.

Beginner · 50 min

Foundation Pilates 基础普拉提

New to the reformer, or rebuilding a base. You learn to use the machine safely while working on core strength, posture and control.

Open to all · 50 min

JumpBoard Flow 跳板普拉提

Low impact cardio on the jumpboard, jumping in a steady flowing rhythm that lifts the heart rate while staying easy on the joints. Newcomers are welcome, with the basics shown as you go.

Intermediate · 50 min

SweatFormer Pilates 燃力普拉提

Built to make you sweat. Faster paced full body work with added resistance and longer holds, once the foundations are there.

Open to all · 50 min

Sculpt & Tone Pilates 塑形 & 强化普拉提

Full body resistance work for core, glutes, arms and legs. Strength and posture rather than speed.

Open to all · 50 min

Private Reformer Pilates 普拉提 (私教)

One to one coaching, built around your own body and goals. The right place to start if you are returning from injury or after birth.

The Experience

A quiet hour, well spent.

01

Settle in

Your teacher sets the springs for your body and your day, then guides you onto the carriage.

02

Move with control

Slow, precise movements against the springs, with your breath setting the pace.

03

Finish quietly

A few minutes of release to close, and you stand up feeling worked, not wrecked.

Questions

Before your first class.

Do you offer private and duet reformer Pilates in Kuala Lumpur?

Yes. Hae Studio offers one-to-one private reformer sessions and duet packages for two people at its Taman Wahyu studio in Kuala Lumpur. Check current packages and contact the studio to confirm an instructor and time before booking.

Can I choose my reformer instructor?

Rochell Tan and Kitt Goh are listed on our reformer instructor team. Tell us your preferred instructor and times, and we will check availability. The live timetable shows the teacher for scheduled group classes.

Where can I attend reformer Pilates near Selayang and Kepong?

Hae Studio is at 2-03A, Residensi Lakeville, 68 Jalan Sibu, Taman Wahyu, Malaysia. Students travelling from Selayang or Kepong attend this Taman Wahyu studio; we do not have a separate Selayang or Kepong branch. Check our location page for the map and our timetable for current classes.

Can beginners book a group trial or a private reformer class?

Yes. Foundation Pilates is a starting point for beginners, and private reformer sessions are also available. The reformer trial is RM179 for four classes, valid for one month from the first booking. The RM99 four-class trial is for mat yoga, not reformer Pilates. Check our packages page and timetable for current options and availability.

I have never done pilates. Which class should I start with?

Foundation Pilates. It is built for people meeting a reformer for the first time, and you learn to use the machine safely before anything else. JumpBoard Flow is listed as open to all levels. SweatFormer is marked intermediate, so come to that once the basics are there.

I have never used a reformer. Can I still join?

Yes. Every reformer class starts with the machine, the springs and the carriage explained plainly, and movements are scaled to your level. If you prefer one-to-one attention to begin, book a private session first.

How is reformer different from mat pilates?

On the mat, your body weight provides the resistance. The reformer adds springs and a moving carriage, which support you in some movements and challenge you in others. Many students find it more precise, and it stays low impact throughout.

How do I book a reformer class?

Booking runs on our timetable. Message us on WhatsApp and we will help you pick a class and reserve your spot, or book it yourself from the timetable.

Do you offer private reformer sessions?

Yes. Private reformer sessions are available alongside group classes. Tell us what you would like to work on and we will arrange a time that suits you.

What should I wear?

Come in comfortable, fairly fitted clothing you can move freely in, so your teacher can see your alignment. We will guide you through everything else on the day.
